Everything we make is factory and rider tested for quality. We stand behind our products and our customer service is the best in the business.

We accept returns of unused items purchased from planetbike.com that have the original, undamaged packaging within 90 days of purchase. Casino play store. The customer must pay shipping costs to return items to Planet Bike and we do not refund original shipping costs. Items with damaged or missing packaging will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Because we're committed to keeping our products on the road and out of the landfill, we make them rebuildable. With normal wear and tear, pieces and parts can need periodic replacement which is why we sell lots of replacement parts on our website. Refurbish your Planet Bike product with the small parts available here. We offer free shipping on all replacement parts to help encourage you to rebuild rather than replace.

Warranty

We are so confident in the quality of our products that we offer a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner of Planet Bike products*. Warranty does not cover damage due to accident, abuse, or normal wear and tear. Any modification to Planet Bike products will void all warranty. Proof of purchase is required and return of the product is required for inspection. Note that we will not cover shipping charges to return an item to us. Contact your Planet Bike dealer or email warranty@planetbike.com.

*Rechargeable batteries have a warranty of 2 years from date of purchase.

We expect that our suppliers uphold the Planet Bike Code of Conduct so that workers thrive in safe and healthy workplaces and environmental impacts are minimized as we produce useful and high-quality bicycle accessories.

Consumer Protection

California's Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to warn consumers of products that may contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels.

Companies operating in California (or selling products in California) with ten or more employees must comply with the requirements of Proposition 65. Compliance requires that businesses are: (1) prohibited from knowingly discharging listed chemicals into sources of drinking water; and (2) required to provide a 'clear and reasonable' warning before knowingly and intentionally exposing anyone to a listed chemical.

Posting a Proposition 65 warning means that the business issuing the warning knows that one or more listed chemicals are merely present in its product. A warning must be given unless a business demonstrates that the exposure it causes poses 'no significant risk.'

The California government has recognized that 'The fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.' The government has also explained, 'You could think of Proposition 65 more as a ‘right to know' law than a pure product safety law.'

A Proposition 65 warning means one of two things: (1) the business has evaluated the exposure and has concluded that it exceeds the 'no significant risk level'; or (2) the business has chosen to provide a warning simply based on its knowledge about the presence of a listed chemical without attempting to evaluate the exposure. With Planet Bike's products, the exposure may be negligible or well within the 'no significant risk' range. However, out of an abundance of caution regarding all chemicals on California's Prop 65 banned chemical list, Planet Bike has elected to place the Proposition 65 warning signs on its products.

The Role

  • The Customer Service Executive will work closely with the Operations and Sales teams to serve existing and potential customers by providing product and service information while resolving product issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities for the Role

  • Managing large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner while following laid down procedures, guidelines, policies and 'scripts';
  • Resolving product or service queries in a timely manner by identifying customer needs, clarifying information, analyzing cause and expediting resolution;
  • Conducting product and service quality surveys with customers and recording feedback from time to time;
  • Generating leads for the sales team by screening callers and identifying potential sales opportunities;
  • Supporting the collection of payments by regularly contacting dormant and defaulting customers;
  • Building repeat sales and retention through strong customer relationships by focusing on the customer wants and needs;
  • Working with multiple sales teams and cross-functional teams seamlessly;

Job Requirements
The ideal Customer Service Executive:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related courses – Sales, Marketing or Customer Service Management
  • Good communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Fluency in at least one local dialect (Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa) is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Maximum of 2 years experience in a similar role. Experience working in a call center is an added advantage.
  • Basic Microsoft- Excel skill.
